Lafitte is located in Southeast Louisiana which has the best fishing in the world. There is literally hundreds of miles of fishable water from the Atchafalaya basin, to Morgan city, to Lafitte all the way to the mouth of the Ms River in Venice. Whether you're looking to harvest a trophy gator gar, highest numbers of fish ever harvested, or heaviest stringer of fish Lafitte is the place to do it. Down here while scouting you will experience what Southeast Louisiana has to offer you will see large abunuance of spotted gar, monster gator gar, occasionally long nose gar, common carp, buffalo carp, grass carp, and silver carp. Our region is known for high numbers and weights any time of the year. Past world and state events speak for themselves. Louisiana is like no other state. It gives teams that drive from across the country a chance to harvest Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and Flounder to bring back home which is very edible. There will be no bows and arrows in the boats participating in the event 48 hours prior to the event. To make this event even bigger Bass Pro Shop will be sponsoring the event. So let's come together to make this one the biggest World Championship hosted in Southeast Louisiana. If you have any questions feel free to call Alan Yedor or Ramon McDonald numbers listed above.

6. Beautiful northeastern Oklahoma is home to prime bowfishing. Large numbers of carp, gar, buffalo, and drum inhabit the Grand River and Spavinaw Creek and its lakes. Longnose gar are commonly seen in the 20-30+ pound range, and recent tournaments have hailed
bighead carp reaching nearly 70 pounds, and buffalo and carp are easy to find in large numbers. The Grand River and Spavinaw creek lakes are very accommodating to bowfishing with miles of shallow shoreline. Lodging is easily accessible along all lakes. There are lots of well-maintained public access ramps as well as private marina owned boat launches offering bowfishermen easy access to their selected water. The Grand River Dam Authority or GRDA polices the water well creating a safe boating experience for everyone including bowfishermen.
Oklahoma is a place longing to see a BAA World Championship hosted on its waters, it has been over ten years since the last, and we at the Oklahoma Fish Stickers would love to accommodate such a prestigious event. Local tournaments are growing rapidly in size, it’s time for the waters of Oklahoma to be tested by the best from around the nation. We have $5000 added already and much more will hopefully come from potential sponsors we are in contact with now!
